Privacy notice

Who I am
Nodewell is run by Mike Twist, a sole trader based in Swansea, Wales. I decide how the details you send me are used, which makes me the data controller. You can contact me about anything in this notice at mike@nodewell.co.uk.
What I collect
Only what you choose to send me through the contact form, my booking page or by email: your name, email address, and, if you add them, your phone number, your business and what you'd like help with.
Booking a chat takes you to my booking page, which Google runs. Google's own privacy policy covers that page.
This site doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. The fonts are served from this site, so nothing about your visit is passed to font providers.
How I use it
To reply to your message and arrange a chat. If you then decide to work with me, I use your details to deliver that work under a separate written agreement.
I never sell your details, and I won't add you to a mailing list.
My lawful basis
Replying to a message you've sent me is in both our legitimate interests. If we go on to work together, I use your details because they're needed for our contract.
Who else handles it
Two services store your details for me:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives the contact form.
- Google Workspace provides my email, calendar and booking page.
Both may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. They do this under the UK's approved safeguards for international transfers.
How long I keep it
If your enquiry doesn't lead to any work, I delete it within 12 months. If we do work together, I keep business records for six years after the work ends, because UK tax rules require it.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email mike@nodewell.co.uk and I'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
